Moving on

Hello everyone.

Today, I am here to announce my resignation as CEO, effective immediately. This is a decision I have not taken lightly and I know there may be many questions about the specifics, so in this post I will attempt to hash out the details.

As you can tell from our social media accounts and website, we have been very inactive as of recent. Even during the summer holidays, I find running this group very hard when taking into consideration my many other commitments. Despite taking on many people in an attempt to resolve this issue, the load has not lessened and I find myself simply unable to handle the work required to keep this entire group active. This is why, for my own and the group’s sake, I have decided to step down.

For similar reasons, Prem Raghvani (Chief Operations Officer), Dylan Baldock (Surveying Lead), and Ashley Gore (Advocacy Lead) have decided to resign as well, effective immediately.

My successor is Sammy Austen-Jones, the current Public Relations Lead for the South East. He has been the most active staff member by a country mile, and after many discussions with him I fully trust his commitment to this role. Transit96 will go further than my wildest dreams with him leading.

However, you can rest assured that my transport advocacy efforts will not end. I will continue campaigning independently, and I may even continue to be in Transit96, but I’ll leave that to Sammy to explain.

I hope you can all see the rational behind my decision, and I hope that our great community will rally behind Sammy to begin a new chapter for Transit96.

Thanks for everything,

Hadyn Cutler

An introduction from Sammy

Hello everyone,

I’m Sammy Austen-Jones, the upcoming Chief Executive Officer here at Transit96. Prior to this, I was the Public Relations Lead for the South East branch here, creating all the social media posts and running their Instagram and Twitter accounts.

I’m really looking forward to continuing our campaigns and expand our reach in the future. In order to do this, however, we will need to make some significant changes throughout the organisation, which will be announced in the coming days.

I’m also going to be creating the Transit96 Advisory Board, a group of independent individuals from all walks of life who will be able to provide advice and feedback to us in the Central Team. I’m pleased to announce that the first member of the board will be Hadyn, and I can’t wait to continue working with him.

If you need to contact me regarding anything, please email sammy@transit96.co.uk or DM me on Twitter / Instagram at @SammyAJMYP

Many thanks,

Sammy Austen-Jones
